I first became familiar with men’s groups in our congregations while serving my ministerial internship in Hamden , CT.   I am convinced that small group men’s work is a key to encouraging and sustaining meaningful male participation and belonging in our liberal religious communities.  I became aware of the good work of UUMeN after the publication of an article I wrote called “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” that appeared in a 2001 issue of The UU Voice.  I look forward to working with the other members of the Steering Council as we seek and create a vision of a progressive, inclusive masculinity.
